For Tiled or Slate Roofs
Do I need a low temperature or high temperature flashing?
It's a common misconception that your twin wall installation will usually require a high temperature flashing; the reality is that this isn't true.
Due to the constructual nature of twin wall flue pipe (an outer and inner sheet of metal with insulation inbetween), the outside of your flue will be considerably cooler than you might think. In fact, the external temperature of your flue will rarely be above 100°C (in most cases it will be well below this).
Our high temperature flashings are only necessary if your flashing is being installed within 2.5 metres of your appliance, if your appliance has an output of more than 7kW, or if you just want to match the colour of your roof (high temperature flashings come in red)
